Small Backyard Landscaping

Another small backyard landscaping installed by Arizona Living Landscape & Design. In this project, the customer wanted a clean look with no fuss or work. They wanted some green in their small backyard landscaping with an area to put a table and chairs.  They also needed an area for their hot tub and some way to utilize the hill in the backyard landscaping that ran up to the back wall.  They were part time residents and did not want to spend their time in Arizona fussing with a yard.  The budget was set and Arizona Living Landscape & Design was up to the challenge.

The customer liked the look of the three piece paver patio they had seen.  We installed a paver patio from the existing concrete patio and extended it out around about 1/4 of the yard and the full width of the house to give them the seating area and hot tub pad they wanted.

The paver patio was designed to have curved edges and a flowing feel and included a small planting area in the center for a cactus or Agave.  We installed a nice sized synthetic grass or artificial grass area off of the patio to give them the green they were looking for.  We bordered the synthetic grass area with pavers that matched the paver patio.   The grass area was also installed with a curved look to the edges to match the flowing feel.  The hill was addressed with rock, boulders and plants.  Future plans may include building a planter area at the bottom of the hill or curved planters on the corners to design the area into the yard and add more depth.  The overall backyard landscaping was designed so the customer can have the look of grass without the water or mowing and an entertainment area for entertaining guests and family while in their Arizona home.
